Business Brokerage is an exciting and rewarding career. You will be working with intelligent and entrepreneurial individuals that need the talents and skills of an intermediary.
Every business has its own personality and traits. The astute broker's job is to determine the core characteristics of the business, assess the financials and assets of the operation, and determine a fair market value for the business. We then put a marketing plan together and follow through to closing.
The baby boomer generation is now at the retirement age and millions will need the services offered by a business broker. Plus, the average business in the USA changes ownership in less than five years. According to the US Census Bureau there are 430,429 firms in Florida that have employees. 87.2% of these firms have less than 20 employees and this is the target market for Business Brokers. Using a little math, if the businesses are changing hands every five years, 86,086 are going to change hands yearly and 75,000 are the proper size for our industry and this is only Florida businesses.
Bateson Business Brokerage has all the tools and training needed to make a motivated individual very successful. In addition, we are members of the Business Brokers of Florida, BBF, and through this association you will also be educated and have access to co-brokerage on our multiple listing service.

We use attorneys to close the sales, hold escrow and disperse the funds. Your real job is to facilitate the sale of the business and/or property as a transaction broker. We believe in sharing our knowledge and helping you to succeed. Income is success based, the commission increases as you gain experience and become self-sufficient.
